Erin and Matt Wells are both NBCC board-certified, Licensed Mental Health Counselor Associates in the State of Indiana.  The Wellses both completed their Master of Arts degrees in Clinical Mental Health Counseling at Valparaiso University, after a previous life where they were both professional opera singers (...no joke).

Erin's specialties include working with adolescent and adult survivors of trauma, adolescent psychotherapy, and couples counseling, and Dialectical-Behavioral Therapy (particularly with adolescents with severe mental illness).  See Erin's therapist profile on Psychology Today.


During the week, Matt serves as the Associate Vice Chancellor for Development & External Engagement at Purdue University Northwest.

Meagan is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and Certified Grief Counselor who has been providing therapy since 2017. She completed her Masters of Social Work in Mental Health at the University of Illinois at Chicago and also holds a BA in Social Work with minors in Psychology and Sociology from Purdue University.

Meagan is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and Certified Grief Counselor who has been providing therapy since 2017. She completed her Masters of Social Work in Mental Health at the University of Illinois at Chicago and also holds a BA in Social Work with minors in Psychology and Sociology from Purdue University.  

Meagan has extensive experience working with adolescents and adults with trauma, complex bereavement, and mood disorders. Meagan is certified in Trauma Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT) and has completed multiple trainings in Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT). Meagan utilizes a Humanistic and Existential approach with clients while encouraging accountability and self-forgiveness.  

Before joining Wells Family Counseling, Meagan spent over six years working with adolescents at a residential treatment facility as both a psychiatric technician and as a therapist. In addition to her role as a therapist, Meagan has been working as a Hospice Medical Social Worker since 2019.

With a variety of professional experience, interests, and training, Ann uses an eclectic approach incorporating holistic and traditional therapies to meet individuals’ needs across a lifespan. She has worked with survivors of abuse, in agency and private practice with children, and most recently in a community-based health center with adults and teens. 


Ann enjoys the creativity and collaboration of the counseling process and strives to foster growth, change, and acceptance in a compassionate, non-judgmental, and safe environment.

Sara is dedicated to providing a safe, supportive, and inclusive environment where individuals of all backgrounds feel heard, respected, and empowered. She takes a humanistic approach to therapy, focusing on self-awareness, personal growth, and each person’s unique path toward healing.


Her clinical experience includes work in mobile crisis response, where she supported individuals experiencing acute mental health challenges. This work has strengthened her commitment to reducing stigma and increasing access to mental health services.


As an LGBTQ+ ally, Sara is passionate about creating an affirming space for clients of all gender identities and sexual orientations. She values authentic connection and brings empathy, openness, and respect to every session.

Carmen Gober is a Licensed Mental Health Counselor Associate in the State of Indiana and has been working as a counselor for over seven years. She completed her Master of Arts degree in Clinical and Mental Health at Valparaiso University in 2014, and also holds a BA in Sociology and Criminology from VU.

Carmen Gober is a Licensed Mental Health Counselor Associate in the State of Indiana and has been working as a counselor for over seven years. She completed her Master of Arts degree in Clinical and Mental Health at Valparaiso University in 2014, and also holds a BA in Sociology and Criminology from VU. 


Carmen has extensive experience working with both children and adults, and is certified in Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), Trauma Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), and Moral Reconation Therapy (MRT). She is fluent in Spanish, and is also CPR-certified.


In addition to her work with as a private practitioner, Carmen has worked at the Midwest Center for Youth and Families, Goshen Community Schools, and the Indiana State Prison. Outside of work, she engages with her community through volunteer service with CASA and PADS for women.

Rachael Whitworth is a Licensed Social Worker in Indiana. She has been working part-time as a therapist for the last several years in Northwest Indiana. Rachael graduated from Indiana University Northwest in 2012 with a Masters in Social Work. She also holds a Bachelor of Social Work from Ball State University. She is currently working to

Rachael graduated from Indiana University Northwest in 2012 with a Masters in Social Work. She also holds a Bachelor of Social Work from Ball State University. She is currently working towards a certification in the Neurosequential Model in Education. NME is a neurodevelopmentally-informed, biologically respectful perspective on human development and functioning to help educators understand student behavior and performance.  


While Rachael works with individuals of all ages, she has spent her career working with and for children. She worked for over a decade in the child welfare system and has spent the last 2 years in a local school system as a behavioral specialist. Her work is based primarily in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Behavioral Modification and Social/Coping Skills Building.


Outside of work, Rachael’s time is spent with her puppy, Smith. He is a 1 year old lab mix. He is currently working on training to become a therapy dog.

Marie oversees the day-to-day operations at Wells Family Counseling. She is here to help with questions about insurance, scheduling, and any other clerical needs. Marie has a passion for helping new and soon-to-be moms through the emotional and mental struggles of pregnancy and postpartum, and also volunteers as a peer mentor at the North

Marie has a passion for helping new and soon-to-be moms through the emotional and mental struggles of pregnancy and postpartum, and also volunteers as a peer mentor at the Northwest Indiana Center for Maternal Wellness. 


Marie has a BM from DePauw University and MM from the San Francisco Conservatory of Music. When she’s not at WFC, Marie can be found singing at the Lyric Opera of Chicago, or at home with her husband and five children, two cats and 13 chickens.

A former arts administrator-turned-MBA, Sarah oversees the practical aspects of Wells Family Counseling to make sure we're here to serve the community for the long haul. She strives to maintain a safe, welcoming, and professional environment for everyone who interacts with us. Sarah is also a Mental Health First Aid Instructor and works w

A former arts administrator-turned-MBA, Sarah oversees the practical aspects of Wells Family Counseling to make sure we're here to serve the community for the long haul. She strives to maintain a safe, welcoming, and professional environment for everyone who interacts with us. Sarah is also a Mental Health First Aid Instructor and works with several partner organizations to certify new mental health first aiders.


A double-I.U. alumna, Sarah holds a BS in Music (Voice) with an Outside Field in Theatre from the Jacobs School of Music and an MBA from the Kelley School of Business.


Prior to moving back to Indiana, Sarah lived in New York City where she worked in film, television, and theatre, culminating in an arts administration role at The Juilliard School. A lifelong volunteer, Sarah has served in many church roles and secular organizations to aid her community. Lifting others up is a core value for Sarah, and is one of the most satisfying dimensions of her work at Wells Family Counseling.
